Description
Shipping Policy
Effective Date: March 25, 2026
Please read this page carefully before placing an order.
By placing an order with Liberty Flagpoles, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Shipping Policy, our Return Policy, and our Terms of Service. This policy is intentionally detailed because many of our products are oversized, freight-shipped, custom, or time-sensitive.
Critical Freight Warning
All freight shipments must be inspected before the delivery receipt, POD, or BOL is signed.
Any visible damage, possible concealed damage, or shortage must be written on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery and pictures taken of the item. If you sign free and clear, the carrier will usually treat the shipment as delivered without damage or shortage, and your ability to recover may be lost.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Shipping Policy governs shipping-related issues for all purchases made through Liberty Flagpoles, including shipping methods, estimated timelines, freight terms, unloading requirements, delivery inspection obligations, split shipments, rerouting, redelivery, refused shipments, and shipping-related charges.
This policy applies together with our Return Policy and Terms of Service. In the event of a shipping-specific question or dispute, this Shipping Policy controls unless otherwise required by law or expressly modified by Liberty Flagpoles in writing for a specific order.
2. General Shipping Terms
Shipping methods, costs, lead times, transit times, and delivery requirements depend on the products ordered, the shipping destination, finish selections, carrier availability, and site conditions.
Some items ship by standard parcel carriers such as UPS or USPS. Other items, especially one-piece flagpoles and oversized products, ship by freight / LTL carrier and are subject to additional requirements.
All shipping dates, production dates, lead times, transit times, and delivery estimates shown on product pages, in checkout, in ads, in quotes, or in email or phone communication are estimates only unless Liberty Flagpoles expressly guarantees a date in writing.
We reserve the right to change shipping methods, routing, carriers, rates, and shipping requirements at any time without notice.
3. Parcel Shipping
Orders over $200 that ship through UPS or USPS generally qualify for free standard parcel shipping, unless otherwise noted.
Orders under $200 that ship by parcel carrier are charged at discounted rates based on product dimensions, package weight, destination, and available carrier services.
Free parcel shipping does not apply where excluded by item size, dimensional limits, carrier restrictions, destination limitations, split-shipment requirements, hazardous restrictions, or other conditions that make the order ineligible for normal parcel service.
Parcel orders may ship in multiple boxes and may arrive separately. Poles, accessories, hardware, flags, sleeves, lights, and related components may not arrive on the same day.
4. Freight / LTL Shipping
Oversized products, one-piece flagpoles, and other items that cannot reasonably ship by standard parcel carrier are shipped by freight / LTL carrier.
Many freight orders are charged a flat freight fee of $479. This flat-rate freight fee is a courtesy shipping program and does not necessarily reflect the full actual cost of shipment. Liberty Flagpoles often absorbs part of the real freight cost.
The $479 flat-rate freight fee generally applies only to:
- standard freight deliveries
- normal routing conditions
- typical commercial or residential accessible destinations
- deliveries within the continental lower 48 United States
The $479 flat-rate freight fee does not include, unless specifically stated in writing:
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international destinations
- ferry service, island delivery, or delivery requiring water crossing
- remote area surcharges or limited-access surcharges
- rural route complications or restricted-access roads
- jobsite-specific delivery requirements
- inside delivery
- liftgate service
- unloading service
- crane service or placement service
- special appointments beyond normal carrier scheduling
- expedited shipping
- dedicated trucking
- split shipments, partial shipments, or early component shipments
- rerouting, reconsignment, redelivery, storage, terminal handling, or return freight charges
If an order falls outside the scope of our standard flat-rate freight program, Liberty Flagpoles may still be able to ship the order, but the shipment will be subject to a custom freight quote, independent carrier quote, or other adjusted shipping charge based on the actual delivery requirements. The customer is responsible for any shipping cost above and beyond the standard flat-rate freight program.
Important: If your order involves a difficult delivery location, island or ferry access, unusual access restrictions, special handling, or delivery outside the lower 48, that does not necessarily mean we cannot ship to you. It means the order may require a custom freight quote rather than the standard flat-rate freight program.
5. Customer Unloading Requirement for Freight Deliveries
All standard freight / LTL deliveries require the customer to unload the shipment.
The freight driver is generally not required to assist with unloading. By ordering a freight-shipped item, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for arranging sufficient labor, equipment, and safe unloading conditions at the time of delivery unless Liberty Flagpoles expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
If delivery cannot be completed because you are not prepared to unload, any resulting charges, including storage, redelivery, terminal, rerouting, or return freight charges, are your responsibility.
6. Estimated Ship Times
Heavy-duty telescoping flagpoles and flagpole kits typically ship in approximately 3 to 6 days, unless otherwise noted.
Commercial and freight-shipped flagpoles typically ship in approximately 1 to 4 weeks, depending on stock, production status, finish selection, and freight availability.
Commercial / freight-shipped items generally include, but are not limited to:
- Residential Series one-piece aluminum flagpoles
- Professional Series one-piece aluminum flagpoles
- Premium Series one-piece fiberglass flagpoles
- products listed under Commercial Flagpoles
- other oversized products that must ship by freight / LTL
Finish upgrades add production time:
- Anodized finish: add approximately 2 to 4 weeks
- Powder-coated finish: add approximately 2 to 4 weeks
Peak season notice: During peak season, especially February through July, shipping and production times may be extended. During this period, please allow an additional 2 to 4 weeks beyond standard estimates unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
Time-sensitive project? Contact us before ordering. If you need a realistic estimate for a project deadline, jobsite, event, contractor schedule, or installation plan, ask us first. Unless we expressly guarantee timing in writing, all timelines remain estimates only.
7. Shipping Estimates Are Not Guarantees
All quoted or advertised ship times, lead times, carrier scheduling estimates, and delivery windows are estimates only. Delays may occur due to stock shortages, vendor delays, coating delays, production delays, route changes, freight scheduling limitations, weather, labor issues, seasonal volume, supply chain disruption, or other events outside our control.
Liberty Flagpoles is not liable for contractor costs, labor rescheduling, crane costs, rental costs, missed event dates, site downtime, lost business, project delays, or other consequential damages resulting from estimated shipping or delivery dates not being met.
8. Freight Tracking and Scheduling
Freight shipping does not operate like small-parcel shipping. Freight orders are often first picked up from the shipping location, transferred through one or more terminals, and then scheduled for final delivery.
Because of this:
- tracking may not be available immediately
- delivery scheduling may not occur until the carrier is ready to route the shipment
- you may not receive final delivery details until the freight company has your shipment in its system and is ready to contact you
You should not expect a freight shipment to arrive without first being scheduled directly with the carrier.
9. Customer Responsibilities for Freight Deliveries
For all freight-shipped orders, the customer is responsible for:
- providing a valid and complete shipping address
- providing a working phone number that will be answered or monitored
- providing an accurate contact name
- promptly responding to freight-carrier calls, texts, voicemails, or scheduling notices
- coordinating a delivery date and delivery window directly with the carrier
- ensuring the site is reasonably accessible for the delivery truck
- ensuring unloading capability is available at delivery
- inspecting the shipment before signing the delivery paperwork
The customer is responsible for providing accurate shipping information, including the delivery address, contact name, and a working phone number that can receive freight scheduling calls. Any additional charges caused by inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or undeliverable shipping information are the customer’s responsibility.
If your address is hard to access, on a restricted road, in a difficult residential location, on a private lane, on an island, on a ferry route, or otherwise unsuitable for standard freight service, the carrier may refuse direct delivery, ask you to meet at another location, impose extra charges, or require alternate transportation arrangements. Any such additional cost is your responsibility unless Liberty Flagpoles specifically agrees otherwise in writing.
10. Address Changes and Reconsignment Fees
If you need to change your delivery address, contact us immediately.
If the shipment has not yet been tendered to the carrier, we may be able to update the address without charge.
If the shipment has already been tendered to a freight carrier, the carrier may impose a reconsignment fee, rerouting fee, redelivery fee, or other charge. If the carrier charges Liberty Flagpoles any such amount, you are responsible for paying it. We may invoice you for the exact pass-through amount charged to us.
11. Split Shipments, Partial Shipments, and Accessories
Orders may ship in multiple packages, multiple tracking numbers, or separate shipments. Poles, sleeves, flags, accessories, lights, hardware, and related components may arrive separately and on different dates.
We reserve the right to ship orders in one shipment or multiple shipments based on stock, vendor routing, freight constraints, carrier limitations, and operational needs.
A shipment shall not be deemed missing, incomplete, or late solely because all components do not arrive on the same day.
A separate or early shipment of a ground sleeve, accessory, or other component is not included in the standard freight program unless expressly stated in writing. If you request an early or split shipment, additional shipping charges may apply and are your responsibility.
12. Inspection at Delivery Is Mandatory
All orders must be inspected upon delivery.
This is especially important for freight shipments. Before signing the delivery receipt, POD, or BOL, you must inspect the shipment for:
- visible damage
- bent, punctured, crushed, torn, or wet packaging
- shortages
- missing cartons or accessories
- signs of possible concealed damage
If there is any issue, it must be clearly written on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery. Acceptable notation includes:
- “Damaged”
- “Possible concealed damage”
- “Box torn”
- “Pole scratched”
- “1 package missing”
- “Accessory shortage”
Do not sign cleanly if there is damage, shortage, or suspected concealed damage and try to take pictures.
13. Free and Clear Delivery
If you sign the delivery receipt, POD, or BOL without noting damage, shortage, or suspected concealed damage, the carrier will generally treat the shipment as delivered free and clear.
A free and clear signature means you accepted the shipment as delivered without visible damage or shortage.
Once a freight shipment is signed free and clear:
- the carrier may deny the claim
- Liberty Flagpoles may lose the ability to recover from the carrier
- Liberty Flagpoles will not be responsible for damage, shortages, or missing items that should have been documented at delivery
- It means you accept it as is
14. Concealed Damage and Shortage Reporting
If concealed damage or a discrepancy is discovered after delivery, you must:
- contact Liberty Flagpoles immediately
- keep all packaging, pallets, wrapping, labels, and boxes
- take clear photos of the damage, packaging, labels, and overall shipment condition
- fully cooperate with our support team and any carrier documentation process
Any damage, shortage, discrepancy, or claim not reported to us within 5 calendar days of delivery may be denied.
Reporting a concealed damage claim does not guarantee approval. Approval depends on delivery paperwork, timing, photos, packaging retention, carrier rules, shipment condition, and customer cooperation.
As a condition of any shipping, damage, shortage, or return-related review, the customer must cooperate with Liberty Flagpoles and, where applicable, the carrier, including by providing photographs, preserving packaging, preserving labels, making the shipment available for inspection, and responding promptly to documentation requests. Failure to cooperate may result in denial of the claim, return, exchange, or refund request.
15. Freight Carrier Delays and Third-Party Delivery Issues
Freight carriers are independent third parties. They are not owned or controlled by Liberty Flagpoles.
Once a shipment is in transit with a freight carrier, we do not control the carrier’s route, terminal timing, staffing, scheduling, delivery windows, storage policies, or driver decisions. We will assist when reasonably possible, but we are not responsible for third-party carrier delays, missed appointments, terminal holds, access restrictions, or carrier-imposed delivery requirements beyond our control.
16. Missed Delivery, Storage Fees, and Redelivery Charges
If delivery cannot be completed because you:
- do not answer or return freight-carrier calls
- fail to schedule delivery
- fail to appear for delivery
- provide an incomplete, incorrect, or undeliverable address
- do not have unloading capability available
- refuse delivery without carrier-documented damage or material shortage
- otherwise delay, obstruct, or prevent delivery
then any resulting charges are your responsibility, including but not limited to:
- storage fees
- redelivery fees
- rerouting fees
- reconsignment fees
- terminal handling fees
- return freight charges
- special appointment fees
If the carrier charges Liberty Flagpoles any such amount, we may invoice you for reimbursement.
If a refund is issued in connection with any customer-caused failed delivery, refused undamaged shipment, or related return described in this section, Liberty Flagpoles will deduct from that refund all actual carrier and shipping-related charges incurred, including but not limited to storage fees, redelivery fees, rerouting fees, reconsignment fees, terminal handling fees, return freight charges, special appointment fees, and other non-refundable carrier charges, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Refused Deliveries
Refusing an undamaged shipment is not the same as cancelling an order.
If you refuse delivery of a shipment that is not documented by the carrier as damaged or materially incomplete, the refused shipment may be treated as a customer return or refused delivery under our Return Policy. In such cases, you may be responsible for outbound freight, return freight, storage, rerouting, reconsignment, terminal handling, restocking, and other related charges.
18. Orders That Have Left the Station
Once an order has been handed off to a parcel carrier or freight carrier, the order has effectively left the station.
At that point, shipping charges and carrier obligations may already exist, and the order may no longer be cancellable without charge. Once a freight shipment has been picked up or tendered, the order becomes subject to our Return Policy and any applicable restocking, return freight, storage, and carrier charges.
19. Delivery Completion and Carrier Records
Carrier records, including but not limited to tracking scans, delivery confirmations, signed PODs, signed BOLs, driver notes, timestamps, delivery photographs, geolocation data, and related shipping records, may be relied upon by Liberty Flagpoles to establish shipment status, delivery completion, delivery attempt, or customer non-cooperation.
For parcel shipments, if a package is delivered according to carrier records, or delivered pursuant to customer instructions, delivery authorization, or standard carrier practice, that package may be treated as delivered unless clear contrary evidence exists.
20. Shipping Subsidies and Non-Refundable Carrier Costs
Where Liberty Flagpoles offers flat-rate freight or otherwise subsidizes shipping costs, that shipping assistance is a courtesy and does not eliminate the customer’s responsibility for actual shipping-related charges that arise due to returns, refusals, rerouting, storage, redelivery, address changes, split shipments, special requests, or other customer-side issues.
Shipping subsidies, absorbed freight costs, and non-refundable carrier charges may be deducted from any refund or may remain separately due under the Return Policy and Terms of Service.
21. Ads, Promotions, and Shipping Displays
Shipping statements in advertisements, search listings, promotional emails, banners, or other marketing materials may reflect the lowest available shipping method and are not guaranteed for every product or destination.
Oversized, freight-shipped, coated, custom, or destination-sensitive products may show different shipping charges at checkout or may require a custom freight quote.
If there is any difference between ad language, promotional language, website language, checkout charges, product-page disclosures, quote language, or policy language, the most specific written terms applicable to the order will control.
22. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Important: A payment dispute or chargeback does not erase customer obligations that were clearly disclosed and agreed to at the time of purchase.
If a customer files a chargeback or payment dispute involving charges, fees, delivery events, return conditions, freight obligations, storage fees, reconsignment fees, redelivery fees, restocking fees, or other terms expressly disclosed in our posted policies, Liberty Flagpoles reserves the right to submit all relevant documentation to the payment processor, card network, issuing bank, and any dispute platform.
Documentation Liberty Flagpoles may submit in response to a chargeback or payment dispute includes, without limitation:
- this Shipping Policy
- our Return Policy
- our Terms of Service
- checkout records and policy acceptance records
- product-page disclosures
- quotes, invoices, and order confirmations
- tracking records and signed delivery documents
- carrier notes, timestamps, delivery photos, and geolocation records
- customer emails, texts, and call records
- damage claim records and customer-submitted photos
- records showing customer failure to schedule, receive, unload, inspect, or document the shipment properly
If a chargeback is filed over an amount that remains properly due under our posted policies, Liberty Flagpoles reserves all rights to contest the chargeback and to seek recovery of unpaid amounts to the extent permitted by applicable law and payment-platform rules.
23. Questions Before You Buy
If you have any questions about freight access, delivery conditions, unloading, timing, split shipments, coatings, storage risk, or custom freight quotes, contact us before placing your order.
Shipping a one-piece flagpole is not the same as shipping a coffee mug. Asking first beats fighting with freight later.
24. Customer Acknowledgment
By purchasing from Liberty Flagpoles, you acknowledge and agree that:
- you have read this Shipping Policy
- you understand freight-delivery obligations and unloading requirements
- you understand the inspection requirement at delivery
- you understand the consequences of signing free and clear
- you understand that carrier delays and extra freight charges may occur outside our control
- you accept responsibility for the customer-side obligations described in this policy
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive rights or obligations that cannot be waived under applicable law, but to the fullest extent permitted by law this policy governs the shipping terms of your transaction.
