On August 30th, Governor Tom Wolf ordered the flags to be at half staff in honor of Pennsylvania National Guard Private Alyssa Cahoon. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Private Cahoon collapsed during a regular training at her home station. Private Cahoon was taken to an off-base hospital and passed away five days later due to a rare heart defect.
Join Pennsylvania in honoring Private Cahoon, her twin sister who was in training with her, and the entire family by bringing your flag to half-staff until interment, which will be announced at a later date.
